    St. Charles Roman Catholic Church
    Address: 320 ST CHARLES ST.

    Description:

      The St. Charles Congregation has been around for over 100 years.

      The church building was founded in 1854, one of the earliest in Manitoba.

      It became part of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg in 1915..

    St. Charles Academy (Roman Catholic)
    Address: 331 ST CHARLES ST
    Description:

      St. Charles Academy was founded in 1906 as a day and residential school

      operated by the Oblate Sisters of St. Boniface

      (Les Missionaires Oblates de Saint Boniface).

      It continues to offer religious education for Grades 1 to 11.

      Residential services were offered until ca.1965.

caron house    

    Caron House
    Address: 362 ST CHARLES ST
    Description:

      This house was built in 1915, and was the home of A.C. Caron.

      He was still listed on the property until 1936.

      The Caron family was one of the earliest to settle the St. Charles area.

      They arrivied in the area from Yamachiche, Québec in 1880.

Lafleche House    

    Lafleche House
    Address: 400 ST CHARLES ST
    Description:

      This large brick home was built in 1915 and was owned and occupied by

      members of the LaFleche family, until the 1940s.
